She was built with weight in mind to have areas to be light as possible using core materials, and innovative techniques like vacuum bagging and resin infusing, keeping the bottom a solid fiberglass construction for strength. In the design, the fuel tanks are located just forward of the engines in the forward engine room to have the weight well balanced for a great COG (Center of Gravity) This helps in the overall performance while maintaining great stability.
