Uniesse, a builder with three decades of pedigree in pleasure craft construction, is recognized throughout the market for meticulous interior and exterior finishes, intelligent use of space, and hull designs known for smooth, efficient performance.

At 72.67 feet with a 17.67-foot beam, this four-cabin, three-head motor yacht departs meaningfully from typical European styling conventions. The layout prioritizes generous living areas alongside functional crew quarters positioned aft, while both the Owner's cabin and VIP stateroom feature ensuite heads—a thoughtful arrangement that maximizes privacy and convenience for extended cruising. The salon benefits from a retractable hardtop over the helm and dining areas, and sliding aft doors transform the interior into a flowing space that opens to natural ventilation. Twin sunning areas—one forward on the bow and a second in the cockpit—provide multiple outdoor venues, while a dedicated garage in the stern equipped with a hydraulic davit accommodates water sports equipment, paddle boards, and tender storage. The large dive platform is capable of handling a dinghy or personal watercraft.

Propulsion and Systems

Twin MAN engines producing 1,360 horsepower deliver the power expected in a vessel of this size and capability. A 1,300-gallon fuel capacity and 261-gallon fresh water tank support extended passages. Bow and stern thrusters provide station-keeping control in tight quarters, while an electric Lofrans Project X4 windlass (2,500 watts) with dual controls simplifies anchor handling.

Navigation and Electronics

The helm station is equipped with a comprehensive Garmin suite: GPSMAP 8215 chartplotter, 4 kW Radome radar, GHP Reactor solenoid autopilot, dual GMI 20 marine displays, 300 VHF radio, AIS600 BB transceiver, and GSD24 depth sounder with integrated WiFi connectivity. A Raymarine E120 12.1-inch chartplotter, Raymarine Raydome 48-mile 4 kW radar, and Raystar 125 autopilot provide redundant navigation capability. A FLIR night-vision camera enhances situational awareness in low-light conditions. Kahlenberg air horns and multiple search lights round out the helm station configuration.

2007 Uniesse 70 Sport: Italian Motor Yacht with Four-Cabin Layout and European Craftsmanship
Overview
The 2007 Uniesse 70 Sport represents a distinctive chapter in European motor yacht design, combining Italian styling with the engineering heritage of a builder with three decades of experience in pleasure craft construction. Measuring 72.67 feet in length with a 17.67-foot beam, this vessel occupies the upper-mid-range of the motor yacht market, where serious cruising capability meets refined interior accommodation. Built by Uniesse, a company recognized across European markets for attention to hull performance, interior finishes, and efficient naval architecture, this particular 70 Sport has undergone significant mechanical and comfort updates, including three new chillers, new cockpit refrigeration and ice maker, a rebuilt sunroof motor, and a brand new hydraulic motor for the tender garage—investments that speak to active ownership and maintenance discipline. Powered by twin MAN engines producing 1,360 horsepower in aggregate, supported by dual 21.5-kilowatt Onan generators, and equipped with a 1,300-gallon fuel capacity, the Uniesse 70 Sport is engineered for extended cruising with the redundancy and power reserves that serious yacht owners expect. The vessel's hull is constructed using hand-laid Vinyl Ester resin with Airex sandwich core on topsides and deck, reinforced with unidirectional and woven glass fiber throughout the transverse and longitudinal structure, and finished with Isophthalic gelcoat in Uniesse's signature ivory. This construction approach prioritizes durability, blister resistance, and the smooth ride quality that Uniesse hulls have earned in the European market.
Layout and Deck Design
The 70 Sport's layout departs from typical European motor yacht conventions by offering four separate cabins and three heads, a configuration that prioritizes both owner comfort and guest accommodation. The Owner's cabin and VIP stateroom each feature ensuite heads, a luxury touch that eliminates competition for morning routines on extended voyages. A fourth guest cabin with independent head serves additional crew or guests, while a crew cabin with separate cockpit access supports permanent or semi-permanent crew operations. Topside, the vessel is organized around two distinct living zones. The main salon features a retractable roof over the helm and dining areas, a design choice that transforms the character of the space depending on weather and preference. Sliding glass and stainless steel doors at the aft end of the salon open the interior to the cockpit, creating a flow-through environment ideal for entertaining and casual cruising. Two large sunning areas—one in the cockpit and one on the bow—offer multiple options for relaxation and observation. The bow area includes sunbathing cushions and access to the anchor handling systems, while the cockpit features a teak table with stainless steel base, vinyl sun lounges, and cabinet storage. The stern of the vessel is devoted to water sports and tender operations. A garage recessed into the hull accommodates paddle boards, jet skis, and other water sports equipment, accessed via a hydraulic davit that is itself recessed into the deck to minimize visual clutter and preserve the yacht's profile. The large dive platform can carry a dinghy or jet ski, and an electric-hydraulic gangway with remote control facilitates boarding and tender operations. An electric sea water pump dedicated to aft deck and anchor chain washing, combined with a deck shower featuring hot and cold water mixer control, supports both practical maintenance and guest comfort.
Helm and Electronics
The helm station reflects the Uniesse 70's position as a serious cruising vessel, with an ergonomic leather helm seat positioned forward at the center of the main deck. The primary navigation and control suite is anchored by Garmin electronics: the GPSMAP 8215 chartplotter provides chart-based navigation with integrated sonar, while a Garmin 4-kilowatt Radome radar delivers 48-nautical-mile coverage—adequate for coastal and offshore navigation in moderate to heavy weather. The Garmin GHP Reactor Solenoid autopilot handles steering automation with precision, and dual Garmin GMI 20 marine displays allow crew flexibility in monitoring engine parameters, navigation data, and system status from multiple vantage points. Communication and safety electronics include a Garmin 300 VHF radio for distress and working frequencies, a Garmin AIS600 BB transceiver for collision avoidance and vessel tracking, and a Garmin GSD24 depth sounder for water column awareness. WiFi connectivity via Garmin systems supports modern communication and weather routing. A FLIR night-vision camera enhances situational awareness during low-light operations, while Kahlenberg air horns provide audible signaling that meets international standards. Trim tabs with built-in indicators allow the operator to optimize hull attitude for fuel efficiency and ride quality across varying sea states. Hydraulic steering provides responsive handling without the lag sometimes associated with cable systems. Bow and stern thrusters, controlled from the helm station, facilitate close-quarters maneuvering in tight docking situations—a feature that becomes increasingly valuable as vessel length increases.
Cabin and Interior Accommodations
The Master Stateroom occupies the forward lower deck and is appointed with a king bed, upholstered headboard, bedside reading lights, and wood flooring. Storage is comprehensive: a high-capacity wardrobe with shelves, wood drawers under the bed, and a chest of drawers provide ample space for extended voyages. A sofa and wood table create a sitting area, while an LCD/LED television and stereo system with speakers support entertainment. The ceiling features imitation leather with wood decorations, a design choice consistent with Uniesse's signature interior aesthetic. Stainless steel opening portholes admit natural light and ventilation. The Master Head is finished in Botticino marble on both countertop and floor, elevating the tactile and visual quality of the space. A separate Plexiglas shower with teak grating, bidet with hot and cold water, and sink with hot and cold water reflect the owner-level amenities expected in a yacht of this size and price point. LED lighting, a water level indicator for the holding tank, and varnished wood furniture complete the suite. The VIP Stateroom is similarly well-appointed, with a full-size bed, storage under the bed, wood flooring, stereo system with speakers, and LED lighting. The chest of drawers, wood lockers and shelves, and wood wardrobe provide guest storage, while an LCD/LED television and deck hatches allow light and air circulation. The VIP Head mirrors the Master Head in finishes—Botticino marble, bidet, complete bathroom fittings, and a large Plexiglas shower with teak grating. A fourth Guest Stateroom with bunk bed accommodates additional crew or guests, with drawer storage under the bed, reading lights, wood flooring, stereo system, and wood lockers and shelves. The associated head is compact but functional. The Crew Cabin, accessed separately from the cockpit, features two bunks and is designed for semi-permanent or permanent crew occupation without requiring passage through guest spaces. The main Galley, positioned forward of the salon on the lower deck, is equipped with a four-burner cook top, convection oven, microwave, dishwasher, and high-capacity refrigerator and freezer. The Botticino marble countertop and stainless steel sink provide durable work surfaces, while LED lighting and an exhaust fan for the cook top support efficient meal preparation. Furniture with drawers and shelves maximizes storage for provisions and galley equipment. The Main Salon dominates the upper deck forward section, with a U-shaped suede upholstered sofa, wood cabinetry, and leatherette walls creating a refined atmosphere. An adjustable oval dining table seats six, supported by a wood-finished companionway stair that connects to the lower deck. A coffee table with wood drawers and shelves provides both surface space and storage. The retractable roof floods the space with natural light, while LED lighting, curtains on sliding doors and side windows, and a Fusion/Bose entertainment system with a 47-inch Sony Bravia television and six speakers support both casual and formal entertaining. Wood floors throughout the interior reinforce the warm, finished aesthetic that defines the 70 Sport's cabin experience.
Power and Performance
Twin MAN diesel engines, each producing 680 horsepower, deliver the propulsive power required for efficient cruising and responsive maneuvering. The MAN engines are well-established in the European motor yacht market, known for reliability, fuel efficiency, and availability of service and parts.
