Our Thoughts

The 2025 Jeanneau NC 1295 Fly represents the flagship model of Jeanneau's acclaimed NC series—a 41-foot flybridge motor yacht engineered for extended cruising, entertaining, and comfortable overnighting. Powered by triple 300-horsepower Yamaha outboard engines with integrated joystick control and bow thruster, this vessel delivers responsive handling and genuine offshore capability while maintaining the fuel efficiency and shallow-draft advantages inherent to modern outboard propulsion. The boat has demonstrated a top speed approaching 40 knots, with a 16-degree deadrise hull designed to soften the ride in moderate sea states.

Layout & Living Space

The NC 1295 Fly accommodates up to six guests across three cabins. The full-beam master stateroom features a larger-than-queen berth with en-suite head and stall shower—a genuine owner's retreat. Two mirrored guest cabins are fitted with twin berths that slide together to form doubles, serviced by a day head with an equally spacious shower. The main salon features a swiveling helm chair positioned at the black dash with dual Garmin GPSMAP 1223xsv multifunction displays, offering 360-degree command of navigation and ship systems. A port-side sliding door provides direct cockpit access from the helm station, while a dinette opposite the helm accommodates additional crew and guests.

Cockpit & Deck Design

The defining feature is the expansive fold-down aft cockpit terrace—a signature Jeanneau design element that transforms the stern into an open-air entertaining and water-access platform. A removable swim ladder and boarding door facilitate easy entry from the water, dock, or tender. An electric retractable sun shade protects the aft cockpit, while a forward sunshade covers the foredeck. The foredeck itself is appointed with three individual sunpads, each fitted with armrests and cup holders—ideal for relaxation underway or at anchor. The flybridge includes a bimini top in graphite, protective covers, and an optional galley package with sink and electric grill, extending the vessel's entertaining and cruising versatility.

Systems & Stabilization

Comfort and seaworthiness are enhanced by a Seakeeper SK3 gyroscopic stabilizer, which significantly reduces roll in moderate seas and improves overall ride quality during extended passages. Power generation is provided by a 3-kW Fischer Panda diesel genset, supporting the 40,000-BTU air conditioning system, full electric galley (microwave, grill oven, and vitroceramic cooktop), and comprehensive 115-volt shore power infrastructure. Fresh water capacity of 106 gallons and fuel capacity of 314 gallons support extended cruising profiles. Twin drawer stainless steel refrigerator and freezer units provide robust galley provisioning.

The NC1295 is the flagship of the NC series for the Jeanneau.  Rhapsody in Sea is a yacht that will offer plenty of space to lounge or spend many memorable days for overnights onboard.  She has full transferable warranties from Jeanneau and Yamaha, she is like new and for a great price. She is a flybridge with dual helm, including a master with a larger-than-queen berth, two mirrored guest staterooms with twins that slide together into doubles. The master has an en-suite head with a stall shower, while a day head with an equally large shower serves the twin staterooms. The NC1295 has a large fold-down cockpit or terrace. A large section of the starboard coaming creates a terrace with a swim ladder giving the owner the option to get on or off the boat. The terrace makes for easy boarding (via a boarding door to port) from the water, the dock or a tender. She is powered by triple 300-hp Yamaha outboards with Joystick and a bow thruster. The helm in the salon has a swiveling skipper’s chair that can face either the dinette or the black dash with a pair of Garmin multifunction displays, controls for the ship systems, electronics and a starboard sliding door for quick easy access outside. The foredeck sports three sunpads each with armrests with holders. To protect from the sun the aft cockpit has an electric extending awning and a forward sunshade. Owners can easily stow water toys or even a few cases of wine. This boat is outfitted with a Seakeeper 3 and a 3-kW Fischer Panda genset. Underway, the 1295 Fly is a performer, she will top 40 knots, thanks to the nearly 16-degree deadrise that softened the ride.

2025 Jeanneau NC 1295 Fly: A 41-Foot Flagship Cruising Yacht with Dual Helm, Triple Yamaha Outboards, and Modern Stabilization
The 2025 Jeanneau NC 1295 Fly represents the pinnacle of the NC series—a 41-foot flybridge motor yacht engineered for comfortable cruising, entertaining, and overnight passages. Located in Miami Beach, Florida, this vessel combines Jeanneau's European design heritage with practical American cruising expectations, delivering a spacious layout, dual helm stations, and contemporary marine electronics that appeal to experienced boaters seeking a blend of performance and livability.
Overview: The NC 1295 Fly as a Flagship Cruising Platform
The NC 1295 Fly is a hardtop flybridge yacht designed to maximize deck space, helm functionality, and interior accommodation. At 41 feet in length with a 12.5-foot beam, the hull incorporates a nearly 16-degree deadrise—a moderate V-shape that balances fuel efficiency with a softer ride in moderate sea states. The vessel's configuration prioritizes owner comfort and guest accommodation over specialized fishing or watersports, though its fold-down cockpit terrace and swim ladder support casual water activities and tender operations. Powered by triple 300-horsepower Yamaha outboards, the NC 1295 Fly achieves performance figures in the 40-knot range, making it capable of meaningful distances while maintaining the fuel efficiency and low-maintenance advantages associated with modern outboard propulsion. The inclusion of joystick steering, bow thruster, and dual helm stations—one in the salon and one on the flybridge—ensures intuitive handling in confined waters and dual-operator capability for extended cruising.
Layout and Deck Design: Entertaining Spaces and Practical Access
The deck layout of the NC 1295 Fly is organized around entertaining and lounging zones. The foredeck features three sunpads, each equipped with armrests and cup holders, providing sheltered seating forward of the hardtop. An electric extending awning covers the aft cockpit, while a forward sunshade protects the bow seating area—both essential for extended time at anchor in tropical or sunny climates. The signature feature of the NC 1295 Fly is its large fold-down cockpit terrace. A substantial section of the starboard coaming lowers to create a beach club–style platform, complete with a removable swim ladder that facilitates boarding and water access. This design is particularly valuable in anchorages where tender traffic is frequent or where guests need easy water entry. A boarding door on the port side provides direct cabin access from the water, dock, or tender—a practical detail that simplifies guest arrivals and departure logistics. The aft cockpit includes a fiberglass table with removable legs, supporting casual dining or drinks service. Additional stowage is integrated throughout the deck for water toys, provisioning, or personal gear. The generous beam of 12.5 feet translates to a wide, stable platform that feels secure underfoot and provides ample room for multiple crew or guests to move about simultaneously.
Dual Helm Stations: Salon and Flybridge Command Centers
The NC 1295 Fly is equipped with dual helms—one in the salon and a second on the flybridge—allowing flexibility in operating the vessel based on weather, visibility, and personal preference. The salon helm features a swiveling skipper's chair that rotates to face either the dinette seating area or the black instrument panel, supporting both social interaction and focused navigation. A starboard sliding door provides quick access to the aft cockpit without leaving the helm. The primary helm is outfitted with a pair of Garmin GPSMAP 1223xsv multifunction displays, which integrate chart plotter, sonar, autopilot, and system monitoring in a cohesive digital environment. These displays support modern navigation workflows, including waypoint management, route planning, and real-time weather overlay. A Garmin VHF 315i radio provides marine band communication, while the displays also interface with engine monitoring, trim tab control, and other vessel systems. The joystick steering system simplifies maneuvering in tight spaces—docking, anchoring, and close-quarters navigation become more intuitive when a single control input commands both steering and thruster engagement. The bow thruster augments this capability, allowing the bow to pivot independently of the stern, which is particularly valuable when docking in crosswinds or narrow slips. The flybridge helm replicates core navigation and engine control functions, allowing the operator to run the vessel from the upper station while enjoying open-air visibility and exposure. This dual-station configuration supports longer cruises where helm watch rotations are practical, or situations where the flybridge vantage point offers superior sightlines.
Interior Layout: Three Staterooms and Dual Heads
The interior of the NC 1295 Fly is organized around a three-stateroom, two-head layout—a configuration that accommodates an owner couple, multiple guests, and crew with genuine privacy and comfort. The master stateroom is positioned forward and features a larger-than-queen berth, providing ample sleeping space. An en-suite head with a stall shower serves the master, ensuring the owner's privacy and convenience during overnight passages or extended anchorages. Two mirrored guest staterooms are positioned amidships and aft, each furnished with twin berths that slide together to form double beds. This flexibility supports families with children, couples, or solo guests, and the twin-to-double conversion is a practical feature for mixed-party cruising. A day head with a full shower serves the guest staterooms, eliminating the need for guests to access the master head. The salon is the social hub of the vessel, featuring a dinette that converts into an additional sleeping berth with the aid of a filler cushion. The salon helm, with its swiveling skipper's chair, is positioned to maintain sight lines to both the interior and the forward cockpit area. Ambiance LED lighting throughout the saloon and cabins creates a warm, modern atmosphere, while removable carpets in corridors and cabins simplify maintenance and cleaning.
Galley and Provisions: Electric Cooking and Refrigeration
The galley is equipped with a full electric 115-volt cooking suite, including a microwave, grill oven, and vitroceramic cooktop—all powered by either shorepower or the onboard generator. A twin-drawer stainless steel refrigerator with 38-gallon capacity provides cold storage for provisions, while the 106-gallon freshwater tank supports extended cruising and fresh-water showers. An optional flybridge galley upgrade adds a sink and electric grill to the upper deck, enabling casual meal preparation and entertaining without descending to the main galley. This feature is particularly valuable during daytime entertaining or when anchored for extended periods.
Climate Control and Comfort Systems
The NC 1295 Fly is equipped with a 40,000 BTU air conditioning system that operates on both shorepower and generator, maintaining comfortable interior temperatures in warm climates. The dockside freshwater inlet and Glendinning shorepower cable simplify the connection process at marinas, while the onboard 3-kilowatt Fischer Panda genset provides independent electrical generation for extended anchorages or remote locations. A Seakeeper 3 gyroscopic stabilizer significantly reduces roll motion, particularly valuable in beam seas and overnight passages. The stabilizer operates independently of speed, providing comfort even at anchor or during low-speed maneuvering.
Power and Propulsion: Triple Yamaha Outboards with Advanced Control
The triple 300-horsepower Yamaha outboards represent the primary power source, delivering a combined 900 horsepower and supporting sustained cruising speeds in the mid-30-knot range, with peak speeds approaching 40 knots. Outboard propulsion offers several practical advantages: lower acquisition cost compared to inboard engines, simplified maintenance and access, and the ability to trim up in shallow water or tilt out for beaching. The joystick control system integrates steering and thruster inputs, allowing single-hand operation in close quarters. Autopilot functionality, managed through the Garmin displays, supports extended cruising and reduces helm fatigue during longer passages.
Electronics and Navigation Suite
The Garmin GPSMAP 1223xsv multifunction displays form the core of the navigation and monitoring system. These high-resolution units integrate chart plotter, sonar, autopilot, and engine data in a unified interface. The Garmin VHF 315i radio provides marine band communication, while a rear-view camera (Garmin GC200) aids in docking and backing maneuvers. Optional electronic upgrades include Starlink satellite internet connectivity, enabling continuous connectivity regardless of cellular coverage—a significant advantage for extended cruising or remote anchorages.
